Hollywood Joe Williamson: A Cheesehead?

Just a few short days ago, the Green Bay Packers hired my all time favorite football player, the former Ram, Steeler and Panther Kevin Greene. They hired him as their outside linebackers coach. Not only that they hired Dom Capers, the first Panthers coach as their defensive coordinator. People have been asking me, are you now a Packers fan? The answer is most definitely yes. However they are not my favorite team. The Panthers are and will always be my favorite team. Some ask how they became my favorite team. It was when WCW was still around and Kevin Greene came out on an edition of Clash of the Champions with Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. It was then I learned he played for the Steelers. I watched him for two years with Steelers until he went to the Panthers and I’ve been a Panthers fan since. Greene has wrestled against guys like Big Show, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and fellow football player Steve McMichael. So yes it was because of wrestling I became a Kevin Greene fan and Panthers fan.

I also have been hearing that Julius Peppers might be headed to Green Bay. If he goes to Green Bay, I will definitely become a Cheese head. I’ll root for them except when they play the Panthers. To the rest of the NFL teams, you been put on notice because the Packers defense will dominate next year. You have Capers and Greene coaching. Then Hawk, Kampman, Woodson, Harris and possibly Peppers, watch out NFC North. The Pack may indeed be back.
