Davenport Lacrosse #3 in the Nation.
After winning all there games on a recent tournament in Tennessee the Davenport Panthers Lacrosse team is now ranked number three in the nation. I would usually not write about Lacrosse but my cousin (who is in the picture) plays Lacrosse for Davenport and has been playing for a long time now. The Panthers are something special to watch. They had a great season last year in their inaugural season and are having a great season so far. This is their first year in conference play and are eligible for a championship and there is a strong possibility that they could win it all. Here are the scores from the tournament in Tennessee.
Davenport 12, SCAD 8- SCAD was ranked 11th at the time of game
Davenport 16, Stonehill 12- Stonehill was ranked 15th at the time of game
Davenport 13, Tennessee Wesleyan 9
Davenport 12, Westminster 10- Westminster was ranked number 1 at the time of game.
They are only two teams ahead of Davenport right now and they are University of St. Thomas, Grand Valley State University. They will meet GVSU near the end of the season and it could be the game that decides the CCLA Division II championship.
