NHL gives Crosby his first Cup plus more
The biggest travesty happened last night as the Pittsburgh Penguins were given the Stanley Cup. NBC got their game seven and the NHL got their most marketable player his first Stanley Cup. Like I said sports is a business and when people realize this, sports will change forever. Even the bias play by play broadcasters said the officiating was bad. The Penguins win and the commissioner couldn’t be any happier this morning as he saw dollar signs all the way to bank. I am really hoping Crosby gets taken out next year along with his Malkin. That’s another rigged thing is the MVP. Marc Andre-Fluery should have won the Conn Smyth trophy. It’s political just like everything else in the world.
I can already predict the future for Baseball this year. If you could have the perfect storyline for baseball that would make a lot of money what would it be? The Dodgers vs. Yankees or Dodgers vs. Red Sox. People want to see Manny take on his old team or Joe Torre manage against his. There is a reason that the Dodgers weren’t schedule to take on the Yanks or Red Sox in inter-league play because MLB wants to them face each other in the World Series and make their money in what would be one of the most anticipated series in sports history. If the Dodgers and the Yanks/Red Sox don’t go then I could be wrong, but I have a feeling I am not. Wait until October and see. When it happens you can all stop calling me crazy.
Are you naive or are you trying for the ESPN little knowledge so "oh-I'm-controversial" angle, because you don't seem to really know much about sports.
I highly doubt the playoffs were rigged. I'll admit that the first game played in Pittsburgh was suspect, but otherwise the Red Wings played like dog shit. There were goals that should have been saved by our goalie. Our defense strategy backfired on us. We were on the D the WHOLE time, while the Penguins took advantage.
And I don't think someone who watches professional wrestling should be complaining about something being "rigged" or a "business" (big names and "scandalous" plot lines to set up a PPV special?).
Just because they are the Red Wings, doesn't mean they're OBLIGATED to be handed the Stanley Cub. I hardly think they earned it.
And also, "The Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox"?? You're a CUBS fan (while being a Brewers fan at the same time, wtf). Imagine how big a draw THAT would be to see a "cursed" team make it to the playoffs.
It's not outlandish to think that 3 of the best teams in all of baseball would make it to the World Series. So stop acting like your opinion is so shocking or that you're the only one predicting it.
If you really want a future in journalism, you're already headed down the path of ESPN "be vague, be predictable, sell to the masses" brand of writing.
Crosby is one of the most over-hyped players in the NHL. But Malkin deserves every bit of respect given to him. He should be elcapitan.
I don't know why Red Wings "fans" think they should have the cup just handed to them. We played bad, we lost. That's how it goes. You don't get an award for being the best by reputation.
See it's that I am not naive, it's me being a wrestling fan that makes me understand how business works. For example, the reason certain people are the champions is because they draw or make the most money.
So would it be so absurd to think that sports follow the same pattern? No because they have to make money just like everyone else
And it's funny because I am not even a hockey fan but the signs of the whole damn Finals being rigged were clear, crystal clear. Face it sports are rigged to a certain degree. I am sorry that some of you can't believe that but face it, its the truth.
As far as me being controversial, you obviously bought into it otherwise you wouldn't be so upset about what I have written. Any publicity is good publicity so thanks I appreciate it.
