Thoughts on Randy Orton vs. Christian (Smackdown 5/6/2011)

This past Friday Randy Orton challenged World Heavyweight Champion Christian in the main event on Smackdown. This was one of the best title matches I’ve seen on TV in a long time. In my opinion it was actually Wrestlemania worthy. The ending was shocking as Randy Orton hit an RKO on Christian in mid-air and captured the World Heavyweight Title.

A lot of fans are outraged because Christian just only won the title less then a week ago. I am a Randy Orton fan but I believe Christian deserved a lengthy title reign because he deserves. He proved in TNA that he was a main eventer and could hang with top guys. Even in losing this past week he proved he could hang with the top guys.

It’s no secret Vince McMahon has never liked him and doesn’t have much faith in him but sometimes Vince should listen to the fans. People were genuinely happy to see Christian win the World Title. The guy worked his butt off to get there but politics happen to rear there ugly head when ever they possibly can.

I’ve also heard people say that we should wait and see what happens. I agree with that because if you go by the standard Captain Charisma is guaranteed a rematch for the title. All I got to say is stay tuned because I don’t think we have heard the last from Christian and we certainly haven’t heard the last of the WWE Universe on this situation.
