Roger Clemens Indicted

Earlier this week Roger Clemens was indicted on federal charges of lying to congress about his use and others use of performence enhancing drugs. All I got to say, is it’s about time. Why would you lie to the federal government about something that you did in your past that you can’t for in trouble anymore? It’s too bad that Roger Clemens had to take the fall for something Jose Conseco and Barry Bonds started. These two are the reason this mess has happened.

It’s about time these athletes start suffering the consquences of their actions. Too many have gotten away with way to much for to long. I’ve noticed that when atheletes come out and tell the truth they are more respect and they are left alone. Look at Andy Pettite for example. He fessed up and people have left him alone and he hasn’t been dragged through the mud. The same goes for Alex Rodriguez and a few others.

I feel for Roger Clemens in a way because he had a great career, but now it’s been tarnished by lies. His friendship with Andy Pettite is probably done as well because of all this. Too bad for “The Rocket” and others who lied because Cooperstown mine as well be the Yellow Brick Road because it’s only an imaginary place with imaginary dreams. Clemens, Bonds, McGwire, and others crushed their dreams when they lied. Hopefully this era of baseball is over. Only time will tell.
