Move the Pro Bowl Back!

For the first time ever this year, the NFL Pro Bowl is taking place one week before the Super Bowl, which maybe one of the dumbest things that the NFL has ever done. Players who are in the Super cannot play as a result, and others don’t want to play because they usually take the time heal up and feel better before the Pro Bowl. Those who were voted in are dropping like flies because they don’t want to participate. Here are some of the guys being replaced in the Pro Bowl.

NFC Pro Bowl Roster
New York Giants offensive tackle David Diehl for Jonathan Stinchcomb
Giants guard Chris Snee for Jahri Evans
Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil for Jonathan Goodwin
Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher for Jonathan Vilma
Arizona Cardinals free safety Antrel Rolle for Darren Sharpe
Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb for Drew Brees
Eagles strong safety Quintin Mikell for Roman Harper

AFC Pro Bowl Roster
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson for Reggie Wayne)
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller for Dallas Clark
Tennessee Titans center Kevin Mawae for Jeff Saturday
Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch for Dwight Freeney
New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis for Robert Mathis
Dolphins strong safety Yeremiah Bell for Antoine Bethea
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard for Peyton Manning

That’s not even the half of it, players like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Percy Harvin and a few other pulled out due to injuries that they probably could have healed from if given the extra time that usually would have had. I understand moving it out of Hawaii because it really wasn’t doing anything there but moving it before the Super Bowl was just dumb. You should just call it the Semi-Pro Bowl now because most of the guys voted aren’t even playing so whats the sense of having it if the most deserving players don’t play. Just goes to show you my point that the only important All Star game in sports is the baseball All Star game. All the other ones are just a joke and a laughing stock. Tune in this Sunday for the Pro Bowl. I am sure it will be one to forget.

  1. Don't move the Pro Bowl back! Whoever though of moving the bowl up is a genius. Joey, you know nothing about sports, you shouldn't even be allowed to comment on the NFL. Stick to wrestling so the 2 other people in the world who care about it have something semi-intelligent to read..
