An Iron Man Match and More
On October 25th, WWE Presents Bragging Rights. This will be a historic match and more because for only the fifth time in WWE History a one hour Iron Man Match will be taking back. It will be WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena. The stipulations are that if Orton loses he does not receive any rematches. If Cena loses, he has to leave Monday Night Raw. The special part of this Iron Man Match is there are no rules. There have been four previous one hour Iron Man Matches.
In 1996 Shawn Michaels defeated Bret Hart (61:52) for the WWE Championship
In 2000 Triple H defeated The Rock (60:08) for the WWE Championship
In 2003 Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle (60:00) for the WWE Championship
In 2004 Chris Benoit defeated Triple H (60:00) for the World Heavyweight Championship
Now here we are five years later and perhaps the one of the best feuds ever is now finally coming to an end. John Cena and Randy Orton are fun to watch because you never know what the hell they are going to do to each other. A lot of people are sick of seeing Cena and Orton but I think this will be a great way for them to end this chapter in their feud. It’s about time the WWE Championship had some other contenders for it.
Also at Bragging Rights there will be a tag team match featuring the Raw and Smackdown winners from earlier in the night. There is no word on who will be competing yet. I really like this concept of getting more guys involved. The Smackdown Main Event is huge for this pay-per-view. It will be World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker taking on CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista in a fatal four way match for the title. That’s a huge main event which has the potential to be great. From the sounds of it this whole pay-per-view has the potential to be great. I cannot wait for Bragging Rights on October 25th. I will definitely be sitting at Buffalo Wild Wings on 28th in Grand Rapids that night and watching this extraordinary event. Hope to see you all there.
