Sports that people don’t consider sports

There has always been a debate on what’s a sport and what’s not a sport. To me a sport is a competition between two or more people or teams. It’s something you have train for, practice for and work hard for. So here are some sports that most people do not consider sports.

Bass Fishing- Obviously there is a little bit of luck but you in fishing you need patience, and a little bit of strength. It takes a lot of energy out of you catching one fish after another especially if their big.

Darts- It takes a lot of hand-eye coordination to play darts. You can’t just throw at the board and hope to get lucky. If you ever watched on it TV, you would see how hard the concentrate. It is actually a very competitive sport that the Europeans usually dominate.

Hot Dog Eating Contests- I should just say eating contests but hot dogs get the most notoriety. I know a lot people might hate me for it but who cares. It takes a lot to get into one of the most contests. I thought eating 10 hot dogs was tough but I know I couldn’t 50. It sounds ridiculous but it’s harder then it looks.

Bowling- Now here is one I take great offense to. I bowling from the time I was 7 and until the time I was 23. It took me a lot of years to get where I was. I eventually gave it up because my knees were getting bad because of it. And if you don’t think bowling takes a toll on you, go out and bowl 32 games in a row and come back and talk to me.

Billiards- Like bowling, billiard is what I call a scientific sport. You have to have a good eye when it comes to playing pool. You can’t just shoot and hope that you’ll get it in the pocket. I call it the game of angles. Because one degree off you could easily miss a shot.

I think I’ve made my point. There are a few sports out there like horseshoes, cheer leading, gymnastics Golf, and NASCAR that some poke fun of, of not being a sport but the jokes on those sports are becoming fewer and fewer. Like I said a sport is a competition, so that I am done with this post, I am going to go play some Texas Hold Em
