Tigers off season moves.

Well what can you say. The Detroit Tigers struck first in the offseaon. They acquired some heavy hitters and one pitcher who has the potiential to be dominating. I would like to see the Tigers get one more relieve pitcher whose name is not Todd Jones, or Fernando Rodney. I am suprised Detroit hasn’t gotten rid of them yet. I was sad to see Jurrijans and Infante go because they were better then what people gave them credit for. Everyone else. They came, they saw, they went.

I have a funny feeling that Detroit will be trading one, Brandon Inge. With Miguel Cabrera at 3rd base now, Inge won’t see very much playing time. Inge will hopefully be traded for that one relief pitcher we need. It will happen you’ll see. Tigers now have the most dominant line-up in baseball. I don’t care about the Cubs, Mets, Indians, Yankees, and Red Sox. They have all just been surpassed by Detroit. The pitching is still shakey in my eyes. I am sure some feel the same way. Mark it on your calander, March 31 because thats opening day against the K.C. Royals. God I feel bad for them…not really. Well here is a history of how the Tigers got where they are now:

-12/5/07 Acquired LHP Dontrelle Willis and 3B Miguel Cabrera from the Florida Marlins in exchange for RHP Burke Badenhop, RHP Eulogio De La Cruz, RHP Dallas Trahern, LHP Andrew Miller, C Mike Rabelo and OF Cameron Maybin.
-12/4/07 Acquired RHP Denny Bautista from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for RHP Jose Capellan.
-11/30/07 Re-signed LHP Kenny Rogers to a one-year contract; Signed RHP Francisco Cruceta to a one-year contract.
-11/12/07 Acquired OF Jacque Jones from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for INF Omar Infante.
-10/29/07 Acquired SS Edgar Renteria from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for RHP Jair Jurrjens and OF Gorkys Hernandez.

To get a little you have to give a little and the Tigers definitely got the better end of all these deals and signings. Until spring training enough about the Tigers unless a big move happens again.
