Results and Review of POG Resurrection

I traveled down to Coldwater once again for Dan Severn’s Price of Glory Wrestling promotion. The action was as hot as the temperature outside on this Saturday night. Before I begin with my thoughts here are the results of the show:

-Kipp Rude and Sean Tyler vs. The Police Department(Officer Rod Street and Deputy Dave) go to a no contest
-Blake Acumen defeated CJ Anderson, Matt Hagen, Travis Trendbender, B.D. Smooth in a 5 man Scramble
-N8 Mattson and Jack Thriller defeated Roger Lanier and Chris Moore
-Dan Severn defeated FIA
-Max Morrison defeated Jay Maynard
-Jack Verville and Dollar defeated Alex Beardslee and Robbie Keto
-Maltese Tiger defeated Noah Lott in a Maltese Strap Match

The opening match was between The Police Department against Sean Tyler and Kipp Rude. The match was utter chaos from the start of the bell. The match ended in a No Contest after Security Guard Angel jumped in the ring and went after Lt. Eva Lonis. This stemmed from Lonis going after her from the last show. Up next was a 5 man scramble match which was dominated by CJ Anderson. He eliminated Smooth, Trendbender and Hagen. He was well on his way to victory against Blake Acumen until members of Project Max interfered and cost Anderson the match.

POG had an amazing return in the form of N8 Mattson. He teamed with Jack Thriller to take on Noah Lott’s henchmen Roger Lanier and Chris Moore. This was match was high energy and intense action. Mattson and Thriller defeated Moore and Lanier but were attacked after the match. Once Mattson and Thriller got the upper hand Noah Lott suspended Thriller for July 15. POG fans got a special treat as Dan Severn returned to action as he took on FIA. Prior to the event FIA was talking trash about Severn and kept confronting Severn at various indie shoes. FIA tried cheating in everyway but the toughness and grit of Severn prevailed to the delight of the crowd.

Max Morrison was in singles action against Jay Maynard. This was also a very action packed match that went back and forth. Maynard looked like he was going to get the upset until CJ Anderson made his way back to ringside. Anderson looked to be hypnotized as he helped Morrison get the win. One has to wonder if the balance of power is even more in favor of Project Max with “The Enforcer” at their side. Can Anderson prove to be a threat with Project Max or will his fellow Nomad members show up in POG to break the spell that Anderson is under? Max then brought out Beardslee and Keto to take on Jack Verville and Dollar. On a personal note it was great to see Dollar back in the ring after his car accident many months back. He and Verville made a great team as they were victorious against Project Max.

In the main event, Noah Lott took on The Maltese Tiger in a Maltese Strap Match. Before the match three members of the crowd were selected in a drawing to whip the loser with the strap. The final winner was recently fired ring announcer Joe Harvey. He was fired by Noah Lott back in January and was seeking revenge. Even though Noah Lott got as dirty as he could The Maltese Tiger won the match and avoided the punishment that was about to be handed out. Joe Harvey was the last one to whip Noah Lott and in the end get his redemption. The show ended with Harvey celebrating with crowd. The next POG show is July 15th where the main event will be champion Louis Lyndon taking on “The Franchise” Shane Douglas for the POG Heavyweight Championship.
